How to schedule a Reel on Instagram
Open a new publication in skedo.io, upload the MP4 or MOV video and choose Instagram as the channel, picking Reel as the content type. Write the caption (up to 2,200 characters and 30 hashtags) or give the AI Studio an idea, and it prepares and proofreads it for you. Set the date and time in your company's time zone and confirm: at that time skedo.io publishes the Reel on the connected professional account and shows its status in the publications list. If your role is content creator, the publication first goes to whoever can approve it. The same video can also go to TikTok, YouTube and Facebook from the same publication, with a different text for each channel if needed.

Limits and errors to know about
- A professional account (Business or Creator) is required: personal profiles cannot publish from external tools.
- Feed images must be between 4:5 and 1.91:1 and under 8 MB; carousels take 2 to 10 files.
- Stories have no caption and last 24 hours.
- The account connection must be renewed if you change your password or revoke the authorisation: skedo.io emails you.
- The caption supports at most 30 hashtags: beyond that, Instagram rejects the post.
When to publish
The AI Advisor reads the numbers of the posts already published and tells you the days and hours when your audience responds best. You schedule Reels in those slots and check the result in the weekly or monthly report that arrives by email.
Questions about Instagram
Can I schedule Reels and Stories?
Yes. A Reel is an MP4 or MOV video published at the time you choose; a Story is an image or video that stays visible for 24 hours. Both are scheduled like a normal post.
Do I also need to connect Facebook?
No. A professional Instagram account, Business or Creator, is enough. If you also manage a Facebook Page you can connect it separately and publish to both channels together.
Can the AI write the caption?
Yes. The AI Studio starts from an idea, writes the caption and, if you want, prepares the image or carousel in your brand's design. You proofread and edit everything before publishing.
